Scottish Biodiversity Working Groups
There are seven working groups in the Scottish biodiversity structure each taking a lead on a different element of biodiversity. Coordinating and overseeing the work of these groups is the Action Coordination Group and above that the Scottish Biodiversity Committee.
There are:
- 5 Ecosystem Groups based around a linked group of habitats and the key influences on the ecosystem and the services provided by it.
- A Biodiversity Science Group which oversees coordination of science and research efforts in support of biodiversity action in Scotland and the UK.
- A People and Communications Group which will help increase people's awareness of and engagement with biodiversity.
